On Tuesday, December 10, 2024. Police responded to a man laying unresponsive in his front yard around 3 PM.
According to Capt. Jarod Primm, several suspects have been identified in the slaying of 24-year-old Dayshawn Smith of El Dorado. The two El Dorado boys each face a charge of capital murder for their alleged roles in the shooting death, one of the suspects is a 17-year-old boy.
The victim was pronounced dead on the scene. According to El Dorado News Time, Smith had been shot at least once and his body was sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory in Little Rock for an autopsy. Investigators are awaiting a preliminary report from the crime lab to confirm the cause and manner of Smith’s death.
As of this release, the boys name’s have not been released but it is said they will both be charged an adults.
With further digging, I have found that they were 17 and 15 year old Lamar Jones, Jyshun Ellis who have both been charged as adults and have $1 million bonds for each of them.
