11 | Civics

In high school, we were required to take a civics class. It was one of those filler classes that a football coach taught because he had to be a teacher to be a coach. No one was interested, myself included. And, even our final exam was cheat friendly. We'd go in whenever we had time and he never locked it so we could all easily pull up a second tab. I finished mine in 10 minutes.
Now that I am older I see how important civics is in our world. It is good to be informed and be active in our community. Some things that can be considered civic duty are voting, paying your taxes on time, donating to charity, helping anyone you can, and showing up for such important things as a court date, and so much more.
Participating in groups, community service, and so many other things are very important as our civic duty. Helping keep our community maintained and healthy.
