A new trend has boomed online recently where people share or quote moments from books, shows, and quote "but you're not nerdy enough to understand that". These moments share insight into different fandoms and their inside jokes online.

Indiatoday states that "Users are sharing inside jokes, iconic dialogues, or specific references from their favorite shows, movies, and even everyday experiences, leaving others to decode the hidden meaning."

The people of the internet are using this to describe a moment in a show that only true fans would recognize and coding it as "you aren't nerdy enough".
